Salted Caramel Shortbread Cookies

Hello You!

Hope you had a relaxing weekend. Mine was a busy one. I was able to attend a home birth on Saturday which was very exciting. The mother gave birth within 4 hours and this was the mother’s second  V- back. She did an amazing job! She delivered a beautiful baby girl. This baby didn’t even cry it was so so quiet and calm. The mother didn’t even push, the baby just literally slid out (I was so envious LOL) and the mother just picked up her baby and held her close. It was so beautiful.  It was hard to return to normal life after this.

Anyways, I wanted to share these yummy cookies with you all!

I made these Salted Caramel Shortbread Cookies a couple of weeks back and all I can say is “Wow” they were so so yummy.

Very easy and quick. I didn’t have time to make the caramel sauce myself but I had caramel candy in my pantry that I melted down and spread over the cookies once they had cooled. I linked the recipe here but it is not showing up for me for some reason. Maybe the recipe will be available for you. So if you would like to make these cookies because the link is not showing the one I used  just try following a basic Shortbread Cookie recipe and use a basic Caramel recipe or be like me and unwrap those candy caramels. Also you can melt down some chocolate chips in a double boiler, once melted place the chocolate in a Zip Lock bag and nip off a corner of the bag  to use like a decorating bag. Decorate however you like.  And don’t forget to garnish with Sea Salt. :)

Happy Monday Everyone

LOVE
~Marie
